What does "Indian formal" attire entail?
For women: Lehengas and saris are great options for a wedding. Lehengas include three pieces - a long skirt, well-fitted blouse top, and scarf (aka dupatta) to drape around the outfit. A sari includes a blouse and a large, unstitched fabric to drape using a specific method - although pre-draped saris have been rising in popularity.

For men: Sherwanis and kurtas or kurta sets are great options for a wedding. Sherwanis are long, often silk or embroidered jackets paired with well-fitted pants. Kurtas are long, often cotton or silk tunics, also paired with well-fitted pants.
